Thyme for Tea

 In the middle of the picturesque Church St in the heart of Godalming.

There's a lot of history here, some of the buildings date back to the 16th century. Back in 1911 Richard Thorn an Eating House Keeper ran Thorn's tea rooms. They were in Godalming for over 75 year and provided teas for members of the Cyclist's Touring Club.

Two Women of their Time – Earle and Jekyll. 

 "In May, 1908, The Surrey Advertiser reported the Suffragettes on Tour, with Lively times at Godalming. The meeting ended with the ladies having to flee through the back door of Thorns Restaurant in Church Street and escape by means of ladders over a high wall into the Deanery House garden"

Church Street was also featured in the movie 'The Holiday'.
